Just as everyone expected – the Pokes win.

Lot of improvement in all areas We have to score tds instead of field goals though. Be able to move the line forward for a yard Owens played well along with Martin and Epps. This was a positive

A lot of gamblers lost money last night. Pleasant ly shocked at how well they played. But then in second half they went back to default of running up the middle and play calling looked stagnant. Saw too many missed tackles in spite of improvement in that area. But overall great turn around for program.

I had OSU losing this one and it wasn’t going to be close. A good win and this was the best they’ve looked all season by a country mile.
Now, while the offense looked better, there are still problems. Red zone was abysmal. Bowman only completed 54% of his passes and still backing up too much. Playing calling still stinks once it goes off script, especially in the second half. Still haven’t score 30+ points in almost a year.
Defense played much better. Tackling was better but still needs improvement. Also a few too many blown assignments resulting in chunk plays.
We’ll see how the season goes. The schedule outside of Bedlam isn’t super daunting provided this team can stay healthy and continue to improve.

3 man front is going to get destroyed by Texas and OU. I saw LBers get decimated several times. Cannot believe Kansas did not run Howard much more than they did towards the end. Several long balls dropped by receivers that would have hauled in a couple of years ago, again that’s not on Bowman. 3 running plays in the red zone is unbelievable. Still lots of questions about this coaching staff. Love the win but feel fortunate Kansas was worse when it came to play calling.

We don’t play Texas. How do you not know the schedule?
And we played Kansas State not Texas. Are you ok?

Gundy really fubbed up the beginning of the season because of his son was in contention to play and I truly believe that. I think he didn’t know how to deal with it. It cost the team to really hit on most cylinders coming out of the gate. Let’s hope he learns from this and never repeats it ever. I still can’t believe he did it but what do you do. This team just doesn’t have enough talent to contend with the top of the conference. It always amazes me that gundy has such a difficult time determining who is better on the field. Did anybody think Ollie wasn’t the best RB? This is why gundy will never be a consistent contender in this conference or the lesser conference we are getting ready to inbark in

It really irks me that we basically gambled the first four games of the season and came out with the short end of the stick. The stupid experiments and basic fundamental offense we displayed was absolutely nerve racking, and there was no fruition that came from it. Based on what I had seen last night as long as the offensive coaching staff has more imagination than a junior high football coach, and actually changes the scheme up we practically won’t forfeit games like we did against South Bama and Iowa State.

On a positive note the defense was able to get turnovers it wasn’t getting, and the offense rushed for 4.4 yards per rush against the 6th ranked rush defense in the nation. For the first time since the second week of September I don’t have to listen to Gundy talk about how he got outcoached. As some have stated we need to score touchdowns and not field goals. Us being at least able to get into the red zone is a step in the right direction. Still, one game doesn’t change my mind on how I feel about Dunn and Dickey.

Can we see a show of hands, who thinks Dunn is qualified?
Bottom line: lack of talent overall for players, and OC not good.
Bowman is a retread and a mistake by Gundy.
Can we teach our center to hike the :football: a bit lower?
Does the equipment manager have a tube of glue for the receivers?
Maybe we can beat Houston?
Give Hale a new truck for winning the game.
Can someone volunteer to turn the pages on the playbook for Dunn to find something other than, if you don’t succeed, try, try again up the middle whenever in the RedZone?
Or else steal the playbook from Stillwater High.

I’ll agree that Dunn isn’t the answer, but I think it’s been proven when you can find ways to get the ball in Presley and Gordon’s hands that good things can happen. That didn’t happen against South Bama and not so much against Iowa State.

The one thing I seen in this game that we never seen in the first four games is some actual shifting and motion in the offensive sets. I few things other than screen passes, up the gut, and deep bombs. Which we reverted back to later in the game. Overall Dunn and Dickey are going to have to show me more than just one game of being able to move the ball into the red zone.

Offense scored ONE TD the entire game. Even against a stout D like KStates, that’s not getting the job done.

Would love for Gunnar and Rangel to have candid interviews on what’s going on.

How about we figure out how to keep the shoulder pads from constantly popping out of the players uniform sleeves.

1 - 0 vs Kstate and 0 - 1 vs SBama > 0 - 1 kstate and 1 - 0 vs SBama

I think Nike fcked up the dimensions of the new jerseys. Seems like everyone across the country is having this problem,

0-1 vs South Bama, 0-1 vs Iowa State

Win is a win but not enough to get me excited till we have a QB that can produce even just average stats. 1 offensive score? I love defense more than I do offense but something gotta be done on that side even if someone has to lose their job. Someone eventually with a powerful run game is going to smash that 3-3-5 and cause other problems to it unless we can effectively score when we need to. Ollie did a great job, to me it seemed like he carried our offense, but we go two other running backs we should get involved/creative with. I seen the other running backs play but not enough for me. Most I seen us run the ball so far.

Still got me kicking myself we beat K-State and not S Alabama. No way they are better than K-State. Not sure if K-State got cocky, didn’t show up, or something is messed up with them. I know we got better talent than S Alabama.

That was a great win, especially when compared to last year’s result……. One thing about Bowman, I think he throws a a great deep ball but we don’t seem to have receivers THIS YEAR that can high point the ball and win. The offense would be so much better if they could win some of those deep balls.

I don’t see consistent accuracy. When he’s good, they’re beautiful but frankly I think he’s least accurate of our 3 QB’s.

They aren’t. They lost to Central Michigan who barely beat New Hampshire, and Eastern Michigan. Also, Central Michigan was just blown out by Buffalo this past weekend.
