It was Boobie’s uncle, not his grandfather.
- Our defense is terrible
- Offense looked better
- Grantham is a fraud
- Meacham tried his best
- Players tried their best
- We look better without Gundy
- We did better than I thought
- We ran more than five plays
- Our OL is still bad
- Looks like Gundy was the problem since September last year.
- Instead of being bottom feeders of the Big12. We’re now a contender to be a middle of the pack team.
Don’t know if I would go that far. We played a 2-2 team and still lost by 18 at home.
I’m interested to see what Meacham can do when he has a whole week to get his guys ready to run his gameplan. I’m also interested to see how the offense responds in practice once they see there is a chance the guy calling the plays is willing to turn them loose. The defense? Well, I’d rather focus on the offense.
Did you ever notice Gundy’s two best seasons in his career was when he hired coordinators that would tell him to go pound sand?
Yes. In fact, it’s been one of the things I’ve noticed the most about OSU football for many years now.
but but but he’s an offensive genius!
Maybe 15-20 years ago. Eventually, the other coaches figure out your outdated philosophy.
Me too, but now teams will be more prepared for those plays - must keep expanding. I’d like to see if the Pistol could be used, especially with Jackson at qb…

I don’t think Baylor is a bad team though.
How about get some facts before you ramble on saying things to disparage THE MAN that gave OSU oh let’s see 18 winning seasons with only having a top 25 recruiting class two times. And had the lowest amount of NIL money of Power Four schools. The woke boosters that wanted him gone purposely withheld funding the program. They used the NIL to give cause to fire him. That info was per John Holcomb. OSU HAD the only man that could have brought us to the national recognition we had But men like you, don’t want to be bothered by the facts. And you can’t appreciate how much he did and how hard he worked to give us those 18 seasons of great football without blue chip players. I’m embarrassed for the Cowboy Nation that fans like you enjoy running down a man like Mike Gundy
@pamela Ok, this is laced with inaccuracies
"with only having a top 25 recruiting class two times" He actually had 3 top 25 classes (06’, 07’, 11’). But you dont blame Gundy for that? Coaches have recruiting ranking clauses/escalators in their contracts all the time…because its up to them. Now, I understand the budget for a recruiting base, but to somehow act like Gundy deserves credit for winning…despite recruting so poorly…is a odd flex.
“And had the lowest amount of NIL money of Power Four schools”… This is as dumb a thing as one could say. You clearly have no idea who the hell is even in the Power 4. Not true at all.
“The woke boosters that wanted him gone purposely withheld funding the program”.. This is misleading. Boosters pump money into programs when they like what the program is doing. The direction it may be headed. They didnt like where Gundy was taking it. Thats not an indication of “woke” politics. Its about winning.
“They used the NIL to give cause to fire him”… Again, youre mistaken here. Its Gundys lack of willingness to play the NIL game is partially what got him fired. You can hate it. You can think it needs to go away. But…you better understand that those are the rules. So you better figure it out. You cant be the HC of a Power 4 and not play the NIL game. Gundy was doing the University he loved a disservice by choosing to stay the HC of his alma mater if he didnt want to play by the NIL/Portal rules. OSU was fortunate to have him as long as they did. But his legacy, his program, and his alma mater were also being held hostage due to him being too late or too stubborn to change with the times. Also…You dont think him going winless in Conf last year, then losing by 66 to Oregon and losing to Tulsa off a bye week had anything to do with it? Making terrible OC hires? Insulting the fans? None of that had anything to do with it?
They’re not bad, but they’re not Oregon either. They look like a 7-8 win team to me
Not true. We ranked 7th in the Big 12 in NIL spending out of 16 teams. Went 0-9 in conference followed up by a loss to Tulsa. Maybe you should get your facts straight?
I said Gundy was good “for a time”. I never said he wasn’t any good at all. I only said he’s not the right coach or fit during the NIL years. You can’t return 19 starters from a 10 win team, and in 2024 go 0-9 in the conference. That’s clearly not a NIL issue, but a coaching one. Even with firing last year’s entire staff. Gundy proceeds to lose to Tulsa (after a bye week).
You people are so blinded by what’s going on it’s unreal. He spent more time complaining about NIL than prepping for a game. He was burnt out and didn’t want to admit it. The facts keep being proven every single week
