Big 12 Update: Even after Blowout Loss, OSU Can Still Make Big 12 Championship Game, Here are the Scenarios

Dude……I literally said I agree 100% with everything you said……& you’re still trying to fight/argue?!?!

“You disappeared when we were 2-2 & things were bleak”…….I have no clue what you’re talking about. I come on here during some downtime out on jobs. Same as I always have.

Unfortunately, there still won’t be divisions in the Big 12 next year either, or any time soon. Having winners from a East and West Division just makes too much sense.

“ISU loses and KState, OU, and OState win out then OState gets the CCG berth.”

Not so fast. You’re wrong.

@ot1 @Jayme_D @michael13 @bill18 The absolute easiest way to understand this

To be honest the tie breaker rules aren’t that hard to understand. Just treat it like an order of operations. What’s getting people is all of the “what-if” scenarios. Nobody will know anything until the final conference standings because that will be what determines everything.

That guy makes some inaccurate assumptions regarding the tie breaker procedures, so I wouldn’t trust that module

Now that is cool!!! My addlepated brain thanks you

Now according the the tool provided by @KetchupSicle and if it is akurate if OU, Texas and Kansas St win out these last two games then the B12 CC will be Texas and Kansas St. SUCKS

It’s just a formula that’s put in. Seems accurate to me.

Tramel reported that the Big 12 actually had all the AD’s get together in Florida. They all voted to amend the tiebreaker to include the scenario in which Texas is 1, while KState/OU/OSU are tied for 2nd. They’ve now changed it to where OSU would get in because they beat the other two,

According to the article here on PFB if OU KS, and OSU finish tied for second and OU and KSTATE didn’t play each other it’s counted as 1-1 so OSU goes ?? It’s seems logical but the B12 hasn’t made its rules clear. Still lots of football to be played. I guess pull for FTexas to win out
Their starting RB is out for the year now

You beat me to it , but it’s clearer now. If we can’t win the next two we don’t deserve to go. Now if Iowa St beats Texas it all different

Yes sir just saw that. Thanks!!

Wasn’t arguing, I thought you had a snarky comment about it :joy: but I’ll agree the SEC will get a third of the teams in

Wasn’t being an A-hole. The SEC has always gotten the benefit of the doubt. Now, I’ve hated it……but I always understood it. It’s the best Conf. The titles back that up. The $$. The facilities. The players. The programs. It’s inarguable. I understood all that before OU decided to go.

Personally I think that depending on the season the SEC has 4-5 teams that have earned the right to have it. All the other leagues need to step up if they want that to not be the case.

Outside of Ohio St and Michigan, maybe like a Washington this year it’s usually down to 7-8 teams. You have the usual outcast to get there. I think Riley thought he had an easy path this year
Maybe he gets a real DC
Clemson for the last 8-9 years. Don’t know what’s going on now with them

Lincoln Riley needs more than just a new DC hire, in my opinion. I said this when he left…hes an offensive guru. A QB guru. A skill player recruiting genius. Hes ahead of the curve as far as the portal/NIL goes. Hes also got flaws, which is why in the long run, OU will be better off without him. Just to clarify here, it was a major blow to OU when he left. Not downplaying it or saying “oh now he sucks”, much like some people on here say about the players that left OSU and are now playing at other places. But i digress…

Lincoln’s strength and conditioning philosphy is trash. His philosophy to go all in on NIL/portal is also a major detriment to the culture of a program. He doesnt hold players accountable. His philosophy of trying to win 61-60 isnt sustainable long-term. Lincoln is MADE for the NFL game.

Agree. The proof is in the pudding in the SEC. You have Florida, Tennessee, LSU, Bama, Georgia, LSU and Auburn that have all won Nat titles in the last 25 years. Thats 7 PROGRAMS. Thats unreal. Of course, the SEC isnt the best Conf every single year. But its dang sure most of the time. People get wrapped up in saying “well look at this year” Theyre right. The PAC is the best Conf this year. But thats very rarely been the case, if its been at all in that time span. ACC? Never. Big 10? Occassionally. Big 12? Possibly at times. But there is not a single metric in which the SEC isnt “better” than any other Conf. Titles? Money? Fanbase? Faciities? Salaries? By every metric, the SEC is on top or near
