As long as he has that four star next to him we’ll be fine.
Does that 4 make him an idol ? Others have him as a 3 … I could care less about his stars
He had a good offer list , that’s what shows me others think he’s good
When’s the last time we won the conference with a majority of 3 star recruits? In order to do that, you typically need great coaching. Which we haven’t proven we have yet. I think the firing of practically the entire football staff backs up my point

Matt Campbell hasn’t went winless in the conference yet. The best coach in the conference (which is a stretch) has so far.
Matt hasn’t won anything
He’s won just as many NY6 bowls as Gundy since the 2012 season, and has coached in way less time at the P5 level than Gundy.
Winning, he did about tbd same as us last year in 21 with a full squad returning idiot, he’s far behind Gundy in wins against ranked teams plus wins the last 10 years moron. You pick tidbits to make a point that isn’t true as far as winning
So why can’t we do what he did returning 19 starters if Gundy is so great?
Iowa State also hasn’t been gifted with the largest donation in college history to make their program better. Matt had to do it with what they had. Gundy squandered away what he had by still recruiting like he’s at North Texas.

Since they brought back the CCG, Matt has played in that game just as many times as Gundy. Tell me who played in the CCG last season? Who returned the most starters in the conference and finished dead last with an 0-9 conference record? It wasn’t Matt. Again, think before you post .

You do realize that Iowa State has traditionally been a worse program, right? Can you guarantee me that Gundy would have the same success at Iowa State with less tradition and donors?
