I hope his preliminary talk with Ice included the word graduate or transfer. I like the guy and I’m not trying to be mean about it, but the dude hasn’t proven over the last four years he can make a basket three feet away from the goal. He also hasn’t been consistent in making free throws either.

I don’t think Ice has shown enough to turn pro. That scares me thinking that if he loves basketball, he might decide to return here. Hopefully, he will be confident about making a team in a foreign country. Just not Eastern Europe.
The only players on this team that would upset me if they transferred would be Cisse and Bryce Thompson. I wouldn’t mind if the rest of them hit the portal.
I like Boynton’s current mindset of trying to get guys in here who would help to win a Big 12 championship. That’s a lot better than the goal of bringing in guys capable of building a team to make the NCAA tourney. I think he realizes the guys he has now are not shooters, and this cannot go on. That is the same conclusion every fan has had this whole season. Hard task considering you have an unproven coach trying to recruit transfers to a team that just went .500 and is miserable at shooting. But to be able give the coach a chance to recruit better players, some of our guys have to enter the portal. I can’t imagine Chris Harris sticking around, unless he has no transfer value due to his significant injuries.

Yea the earlier talk is funny.
One thing the stuff he was saying is the same Gary patterson was saying rite before he got fired.
The best way to no lose players is dnt have season like this.
On ice until we get another point guard he is all we got. So like the ole saying he is better then a poke in the eye

He loves Ice. I wouldn’t mind if he came off the bench but Boynton refuses to be a coach and not a friend to these players.
