Has anyone ever kept stats of how many times a deep ball draws a defensive penalty?

Would be nice. I do think the more “explosive” an offense is, the more the defense tends to suffer, but our defense was horrible last year, so can’t really get worse… go for it.
I’m just kind of more concerned with the pass protection and rush blocking. Deep ball will be ineffective if we can’t protect the QB or drive the defense 2 inches off the line of scrimmage. All the opposing defense will do is drop several into coverage.
