I really wish we could kick out Houston and one other (Cinci?) and add Washington State and Oregon State.
110% what I think. Iād go with Houston and UCF. I feel like UCF has a G5 brand theyāll never escape.
I donāt know much about Houstonās demographics as a school, but are they not a threat with the right coach given their location?
It seems to me with the right coach they would be dangerous. Surely they have enough fans to fill that place with a good team? Am I wrong?
They are a commuter public school. The UCO of Texas.
Oh. But donāt they at least have like a gajillion alumni?
Story time: one of our good family friends for 30+ years is an optometrist. Heās a Houston alum. Both his sons are OSU alums. Heās a Goon fan. Doesnāt wear OU around us, but he does at other times. Thereās no help for some folks.
Disclaimer: Heās truly an awesome guy who raised both boys as a single dad. Heās been a great example for me personally and given solid advice in my own parenting journey.
If they do then none of them know they play football.
There are a few out there who fit both categories, much as it pains me to admit it.
He is full of it about 85% of the time but still someone is telling him this.
If B10 took 3 ACC teams plus ND (they will eventually have to join if we go mega2) and SEC took FSU and Clemson that would put them at 22 and 18 respectively.
Surely we would make a 4 team list for the SEC at that point. Thereby creating a 44 team super league with 2 conferences each with 2 divisions.

I just donāt see the media partners being willing to fund this at this time. That combined with the ACC GOR being rock solid and I think he is just looking for clicks.
Absolutely. I just like talking about the possibilities. My own little crack addiction haha
Take what is currently out there on the table and break it into tiered payouts based on results would be fun. Bigger schools would never agree to this but would be fun. Top 7, middle 7, bottom 8. Then obviously bonuses for the playoff games. Cross conference matchups (bowls) for every team at end of year based on where you finished.
Again, not realistic. Just enjoying my day off wasting brain power on this.
I would love to add those schools.
Oh wait itās Swaim
When does FSU leave the ACC?
This is a P2 playoff.
Whatās stronger for a P3?
Big12 adds Louisville, Pitt, NCSU, UVA
ACC adds OSU, KU, UU, CU (unrealistic I know) keeps everyone they have.
I donāt want to go to the ACC and those are my stomping grounds. Stay put then let the P2 expand over time to eliminate the NCAA.
12 team playoff should placate things for at least a little while. I still think a big breakaway is the next step and will happen in the next 12 years.
