That’s actually not factual at all. Denbrock left on his own terms. If you’re going to lie, be good at it. Again, you keep ignoring the common denominator of OSU football for the last twenty years. Which is exactly why we still only have (and most likely retain) one conference title while Gundy is still here.

No. When Denbrock left Notre Dame the first time his contract was not renewed. That’s fired. The second time is murkier, he was rumored to at least be getting a demotion and not getting to call plays. Other speculation was that they were looking for a splashier OC and so he saw the writing on the wall and left. Technically, he left before he got fired, but you don’t go from Notre Dame to Cincy unless something is up.

You said you wanted consistency. We haven’t had that with the OL since Wickline left. Last time I checked, Gundy hires the coaches . If your definition of consistency is below 50% then it was worse than I thought it was.
How many leading rushers did we have under Wickline? Let’s use your own arguments against you. On Yurcich, you say he was a terrible hire despite getting the OC job at Penn State because he only lasted a few seasons there. Perhaps you ought to look at Wickline’s employment history after OSU. You are crapping on our new coordinators because they’ve been fired. Again, look at Wickline. You need to revise your position.
Also, Dickey isn’t here anymore. He got fired. Yeah, Gundy hired the guy. He hired the guy that did have consistent success at K-State. For whatever reason, it didn’t work here. Just like Wickline. He had success here, complete whiff at Texas. Sometimes the fit is bad.
The question is how much consistency have we had with the run game since Wickline left? You’re worried about leading rushers when most people with common sense are wanting to know what needs to be done to win the conference. Tell me how that leading rusher thing worked out for us this past season? Who is as our OL coach for our one and only conference title?
Did we win a conference title when Yurcich was our OC? How many times did we beat OU when Yurcich was our OC? I’m fairly sure we were 1-5. In fact, Dunn has a better record against OU than Yurcich. Case in point why you don’t last very long at a school with chitty coaching, unless it’s in Stillwater. Yurcich didn’t have a legitimate OC position until Penn State after OSU.
Gundy fired them way too late. It doesn’t take you 5 years or longer to figure out if you think a guy can lead you to a second conference title. It was obvious to fans and anyone else with half a brain that neither Dunn or Dickey could do it. Just look at the last play of the CCG in 2021 for evidence. You’re too stupid to see you keep making my points for me . You can carry on now.
Not sure how this became a Wickline thread, but there’s a significant difference between Wickline and Dickey that influences the results. Its not that Wickline was a better coach than Dickey, its just that he was better at coaching a man blocking scheme than Dickey was at coaching a zone blocking scheme. This is (imo) the flaw of Dunn as OC. Dunn wanted to run RPO concepts with Zone blocking schemes, and our zone blocking sucked. Prior to Dunn, our OCs focused on Man blocking schemes and power running.
I would say there’s a significant difference between Monken and Wickline compared to Dunn and Dickey in just about every coaching facet. It’s not even close.
Monken was an OC , he never coached OL
Besides Wickline flamed out at Texas and pretty sure he went to WV and flamed out there That’s without checking but he was never relevant again. He left here because he wasn’t chosen for OC here
