Thanks for stopping by – here’s your daily dose of Oklahoma State sports news. Scores Baseball: Arizona 5, Cowboys 4 Softball: Iowa State 8, Cowgirls 4 OSU Bullets • Cowboy Baseball and Softball both dropped their rubberband games on Sunday (PFB) • OSU Wrestling’s original plan at 184 has decided to stay on campus and not transfer (PFB) • Mike Gundy predicted we’re heading to a 32-team super conference and that OSU would be involved for this reason: In a discussion of his prediction that there soon will be the development of a 32-team super conference, Oklahoma State’s football coach expressed his belief that the Cowboy program would be a member. On having a brand that appeals to television viewers, Gundy said, “That’s the only thing that matters. I don’t care who likes who. It’s all based on the (networks) and who they’re going to pay to put on TV.” [TulsaWorld] • How the Boys from Oklahoma show became a reality (TulsaWorld) • Pokes are on the hunt for a big man, make final four for this NE talent (PFB) Non-OSU Bullets • Why do cowboys say “yee-haw”? • Loved this shot from the Masters, wish more of this was…

It’s a good thing for Gundy that OSU fans are delusional and believe he might win other conference title. As for OSU sports, when was the last time men’s basketball, football or baseball was winning the conference and competing at a national level. Ok football never has but basketball has been there 3 or 4 times and baseball was once something to be proud of.

They’re not going to put a team on tv that finds ways to go winless in the conference. I hope he realizes that.

The current cycle of poor football and basketball at OSU reminds me of Cowboy sports in the 1960’s when we went to games not expecting to win, but just because it was part of the social life on campus. Something to do. I don’t know if Gundy can recruit/buy enough talent to right the ship. Same goes for Lutz. Baseball is a puzzle. We’ve had some really talented players on these teams, but they don’t make it to Omaha.
