Thanks for stopping by – here’s your daily dose of Oklahoma State sports news. Scores Women’s Soccer: Cowgirls 2, Nebraska 0 Three Thoughts • OSU fans will walk into a stadium that just completed a $55m project to renovate the stadium over two years – and it’s just expected that OSU would do things like this, a behavior of a player in major college football (O’Colly) • Articles noting OSU as a Big 12 contender are popping up (here and here), as well as preseason All-American teams hyping Ollie Gordon (here and here) – it’s unreasonable to think this Cowboy squad won’t finish in the top-tier of the league barring injuries • Can’t disagree with this take on why you could be optimistic about this Cowboy Football squad: When you bring back the Doak Walker Award winner, you simply feed him behind a strong, veteran offensive line and let him work. [247 Sports] Two Quotes • If you were on the fence about attending/watching OSU’s FBS game to open the schedule, just read this quote from Mike Gundy: “[OSU players are] very aware of who this team is and they’re very aware of the success they’ve had, and they’ve watched…
Right now, I would put Ollie Gordon in the top 3 for best RBs of the Gundy era as he won the Doak Walker for the nation’s best RB.
In the context of what an odd year we had this past year he did incredible work, and as a sophomore ! If Spencer had stayed and we’d had a plan who knows where we’d be ?
Man we upgrade our stadium quite a bit . I’m guessing these
Funds were allocated before NIL was Sussed
Out ?
I think the upgrade came from some of Boone’s money he left ?
I think we forget what a tough back Hunter was
Hubbard went over 2k yards and didn’t win the Doak ? Hill was tremendous. Warren would just run over your asz !! Ollie is the now pick so I would have to think a big on who’s on top
What Ollie does this year will go a long way to determine his place in the all time list.
Hunter and Warren are pretty underrated in my book. Hubbard had that one amazing year (and should’ve won the Doak) but dropped off the following year. Hill would probably be my #1 RB of the Gundy era as of now. Had two really good years and won some awards.
We would’ve been in a really bad spot if not for Warren. RB was a big question mark going into that season and the impact he had for us is now being felt in Pittsburgh . So happy for him .
Hunter was great, it’s just been so long we forget.
