Thanks for stopping by – here’s your daily dose of Oklahoma State sports news.
Texas Tech didn’t do the Big 12 any favors yesterday smh.
As for the Atlantic’s proposed trade, while it sounds good from a geographic standpoint, it wouldn’t happen because the money doesn’t line up. The reason Cal, SMU, and Stanford are in the ACC is because the conference got them on the cheap (especially SMU). There’s no way Cincinnati, UCF, and West Virginia would take a similar deal to be the ACC when they’re already full share members in the Big 12. Also, I don’t think those three would want to be traded to a conference that could blow up in a few years.
Tech spent all that money for a legit defense and forgot to buy a QB. Now the tards of America will use it against every Big 12 school and completely forget or pass on what we just saw from Alabama. Sad.
I think everyone is aware that Tech is REALLY trying to be a legitimate player. I dont think Tech will hurt the rep of the other schools in the Conf. But…the other schools in the Conf better hope Tech doesnt doesnt start to run right thru this league. Tech is going to have a hard time getting a full roster worthy of beating those big boys, but they can absolutely RUN the Big 12. Yesterday hurt Tech and what theyre trying to build. But I dont think it does anything to the league itself. Im not being an Ahole here, but the Big 12 is already looked down upon. Techs performance didnt move that needle one way or the other
I was thinking the something as Houston was beating LSU. Also when Utah beat Nebraska and BYU beat Georgia Tech. Teams like that shouldn’t be a Power 4.
It’s not big 12 but Illinois over Tennessee was one of my favorites.
I dont even really know what youre getting at here? But if the Bowl Games matter to you as to proclaim what Conf is better or worse based on their opt-out laden team beat the other opt-out laden team…so be it.
I get it Bowls don’t matter unless it’s CFP and more to the sec team who it didn’t matter to the coach.
I didnt watch anything other than the playoff games. There are two really good Conf’s. Then Miami, ND. Tech is just outside of that group.
I think you could question if the sec was really that good this year. If Mississippi had played Miami and Georgia would have played Oregon, would there be a sec team in it?
Parity. The SEC doesn’t have the dominant team or pair of teams like they’ve had the last 20 years. But to all of a sudden act like that means the Conf isn’t good…..is crazy talk.
The SEC should never have 5 teams in a 12 team playoff
Again…..that’s crazy talk. Who was more deserving? If any Conf has 5 of the 12 best teams, they should be in. I don’t care what Conf they were from.
That’s just it, the SEC has never had 5 of best 12 teams. 3 yes, but not 5.
Yeah that’s just a dumb thing to say.
Who should’ve been left out this year?
Who deserved to be in that wasn’t this year?
I’m not convinced Alabama, Oklahoma, Ole Miss or Georgia really deserves to be ahead of BYU. Alabama lost to Florida State, Ole Miss barely beat Washington State without Mateer. Everyone lost to one of the other three and none of them ever fall out of the top 25 while only playing 8 conference games and very seldom playing anyone in non conference. I give credit to Oklahoma for playing Michigan but they weren’t very good this year, heck Ryan Day beat them.
How far did Alabama fall after losing to Florida State? After Georgia lost to Alabama, how long before they were back in the top 10? Not to worry though, SEC will start next season with 10 or more in the top 25 and 5 in the top ten.

He’s coping with the fact that the Big 10 is a better conference than the SEC now. Indiana didn’t just beat Bama. They completely dominated them. While Mateer and his boys are blowing a big lead against that very same team on their own field.
I’ve not been very impressed with the SEC at all this season. I guess the top 4-5 teams in that conference do a good job of beating each other. Other than that, the only opponent they have a win against outside the SEC in the CFP is Tulane
. I’ve got money on Miami in this game. It’ll be a third year in a row the SEC doesn’t win the national title.
Soooo……who did BYU beat that impressed you? If you think BYU shouldve been in, so be it. Georgia & Alabama were the two best in the SEC. Ole Miss is in the final four. If you think BYU deserved to be in over OU or A&M…..I respectfully disagree. OU beat Michigan, Tennessee, Bama. BYU beat Arizona & Utah. If you think those are the same…..so be it.
