Any time you get to watch clips of Barry playing football, ill take it. I just didnt think it was very enlightening though. You dont get anything that you didnt already know. I really thought it shouldve spent more on his time in Stillwater than it did. Only showed an old clip of Pat Jones. No modern day interviews with Gundy, Jones or anyone at OSU. I loved watching him play…but just thought the doc was ok

I don’t like the “if you can’t be content with 9-3… the problem is yours” take.
I mean, I’ll be ecstatic with 9-3 and a birth to the CCG. Coming off of last season and the transfer exodus, it’s incredible. Even 8-4 is really good.
But telling another fan how they should feel is equivalent to “fan bullying”. In the grand scheme of life, sports are arbitrary. Let people feel how they feel. If there are people out there who will only be “content” with an undefeated record, conference championship, or playoff berth, that is their prerogative.

Saying you dont like the take…and then also typing “Let people feel how they feel”, seems ironic.
Totally agree with this statement I chose us to go 8-5 this season, and while I’m thankful they possibly finishes out the season out 9-3 and go to the CCG there is still some lacking. We haven’t won a conference title since 2011. We NEED to win another conference title!!! And it would be awesome to do that while sending Texas and OU off to the SEC without any Big 12 trophy in their last season in this conference.
I can deal with two or three losses throughout the season as long as we’re winning something meaningful. Of course, I don’t think we should be getting spanked by South Bama and UCF, but show me a conference trophy or NY6 trophy and I’m good. The problem with good ole Berry is he comes from a school that expects trophies every year, and thinks the desires of OSU fans should fan the flames down. He wouldn’t be saying that if OU fans went 5+ years without a conference title.

Yea the doc is more focused on his time with the lions, it’s an NFL films doc after all, but still I thought it was well done.
I guess I have a different outlook on things. Opinions, especially sportswriters, never threaten me when they are different than my own and the concept of being bullied via internet speech by whoever is something that I really don’t understand. In any case I don’t believe the author thinks that we as fans should accept OSU as team who has a 9-3 ceiling in a given year. I believe the point being made in the article is that one needs to understand how rare it is watch a team that has overcome some extreme low points in the season only to continue to fight and pull themselves up into contention for the B12 CC and that fans should put things into perspective and enjoy watching something that very rarely happens in college football.

I’m aware of the NFL films. But that’s irrelevant. NFL films has a whole bunch of stuff (Timeline, Football history, Backstory), hell they have a special over the 2005 season Rose Bowl. They dip into the college ranks footage a ton. It’s Barry’s story & his OSU days were a major piece of it. It just failed to show anything new.
