So according to wallet hub, the top 5 college towns are Austin, Ann Arbor, Orlando, Tampa, and Raleigh. Sorry, but I would only consider Ann Arbor to be a college town.

That list is the biggest pile of sht I have ever seen. Calling half those places on the list college towns is insane.

They confused “college town” with “Young, hip, party towns”. i bet the people doing the survey can’t even name the colleges in Tampa and Orlando.

Exactly. A college town should simply be a small to medium sized city that’s built around the university, and if the college were to close down, the town would fold.
