Thanks for stopping by – here’s your daily dose of Oklahoma State sports news. OSU Bullets • Former Cowboy Brock Martin cast a vote for Jim Knowles to be the next head coach in Stillwater (TulsaWorld) • Former four-star defensive lineman in Stillwater entered the transfer portal (PFB) • From Saturday’s Ten Thoughts, what a positive Wendell Gregory has been this season. Heck, Gregory nearly had a touchdown in his grasps after an Arizona fumble near midfield. Gregory fluffed his scoop and thus didn’t score, but he was right there. Only a redshirt freshman, he would be a big-time building piece for the Cowboys if they’re able to keep him in Stillwater. [PFB] • Players shared about why they want to be in Stillwater post-transition (PFBA) • “Behind Arkansas and Virginia Tech and above UCLA and Stanford: “It’s behind Arkansas and Virginia Tech and ahead of UCLA and Stanford — it’s right in the middle,” an industry source told On3 about where Oklahoma State is viewed in this coaching carousel. https://twitter.com/petenakos_/status/1973762394754326740 — BuffalOKstate (@BuffalOKstate) October 2, 2025 Non-OSU Bullets • Nine things learned in 90 years • Just try to outgive God (faith-based)
The coaching carousel comment makes no sense, is supported by zero facts, and is whatever popped in one guy’s head lol. UCLA is set to make 3x annually what Virginia Tech is in athletic revenue. Everyone who knows the sport knows the ACC will collapse in 2031 when Clemson, Miami, and Florida State can leave. If not earlier.
On a side note, if we hire GJ Kinne, I hope he brings the Sand Springs QB with him. I don’t understand why we don’t recruit a 6’4 210 lb 3 star 45 minutes down the road while we have what we have. Offer from Georgia Tech and Iowa State. Why are we in a Chad Powers situation.
