Thanks for stopping by – here’s your daily dose of Oklahoma State sports news.

Well we have blackouts at BPS. Why not skin-outs?

Basketball exhibition THIS WEEK. Lawdy, I hope we’re decent on the hard wood.

Now, an assignment for the boys at PFB:

This fall, the Cowboy golf team has not fielded the same five players that won a National Championship in spring. Specifically, one Filip Fahlberg-Johnsson has yet to compete for the team this fall.

Why?

Could be as simple as he hasn’t qualified as well as others. But, curious minds want to know if his match-play antics at last spring’s NCAAs earned him time “on the bench?”

(NOTE: FWIW, I had no issue with his antics, but could see where Bratton might not think they are the best representation of Cowboy golf.)

He was in Singapore playing for his home country in the 34th World Amateur Team Championship. He finished in a tie for 11th place. Fang and Stout tied for 28th place.

Right…which only makes me believe his absence from the Cowboy starting five is punitive. His play is obviously sharp.

And, by the way, I’m fine if it is punishment. I just think something’s amiss in not having the Top 5 on the course together. It was this time last year that Fang-Stout-Lee-Lane-Johnsson gelled and dominated at the Stephens Cup.

Would have to be a night game or someone might go blind with all the sun reflecting on the pale bellies in BPS.
