I’m talking NES, SNES, Sega and any other console I’m missing. What were your favorite games? My favorite NES games were, in no particular order:
Super Mario Bros
Mike Tyson’s Punchout
Contra
Zelda
Exite Bike
and of course Tecmo Bowl (Bo Jackson was unstoppable)

I love the Super NES games. Simple, yet just advanced enough to make them pretty enjoyable. But there’s some good NES ones too.
Super Metroid
Legend of the Mystical Ninja.
Any of the Castlevania games.
Ninja Gaiden 2
On the Switch we’ve been playing a lot of Dr. Mario and Super Mario Bros. 2 on the NES app.
Legend of Zelda a Link to the Past.
Yeah, those Konami games are awesome.

I want a new twisted metal to come out ! It’s just an edgier Mario Kart free for all but it was so fun and the stories were cool too .

Twisted Metal 2 was amazing. LOVED that game. With today’s technology, they could make an epic Twisted Metal. And with online free-for-all’s with 10-20 players…!!!
Oh man… I just got a chill when I read that. Can we make that happen? Like, now…

Remember a game called Destruction Derby? They need to remake that game too.

Shadow was my favorite character (if he was the one who drove the hearse). His special attack was insane if you could land it. Probably the best in the game. That or the motorcycle dude’s.

8 bit and earlier (NES and 2600):
Combat
Asteriods
BattleToads
Super Tecmo Bowl
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
16 bit (SNES):
Final Fantasy II (aka: FF IV)
Super Mario World
A Link to the Past
32 bit (PlayStation and Sega Saturn):
Final Fantasy VIII
Bushido Blade
Metal Gear Solid (How did I forget that one?)
Virtua Fighter (and the remixes)
64 Bit+ (N64, Dreamcast):
Goldeneye (does not hold up)
Mario 64
Paper Mario
Soulcaliber
Shenmu
NFL 2K1
Skies of Arcadia
My PS2/Xbox/GC list would go on for a loooong time. I had all 3 at the time and would be hard pressed to pick a favorite console from that gen.
