Fire Charlie Dickey

Unfortunately that ship has sailed unless he gets canned by Atlanta. If they are successful, he might be an NFL head coach in the next three seasons.

Unless we poach him before then. Get with me Sherlock. I know you want to

We can circle back to this in December though

I’ll still be here. Doesn’t matter if we go undefeated here out and win the B12 and make the CFP. I’m done with Gundy regardless

I’m giving him until the end of December or first couple weeks of January to make some staff changes before I’m out on him too.

I feel like he’s earned that much, but not much more.

It’s somewhere besides Stillwater :joy: I’m watching Arizona kick the dog out of Utah right now. We will see if it keeps up :cowboy_hat_face:

We were right that Utah isn’t a world beater. We were wrong about ourselves though.

If Gundy had left Bowman in we beat Utah I honestly believe that

I agree.

Just a baffling decision.

I’ve watched a chit load of football the last 3-4 weeks and I’m convinced you have to have a qb that is at least mobile and throw well. We are handicapped with Bowman

I agree GJ is a big swing to get as an OC. IF they were to offer him 1.5 as OC and HCIW I think it’s a possibility. But either way, he’s a guy I would love to see there.

Also, if you took Rattay and Dunns salaries for GJ you could offer him north of 1.5 to be QB/OC and he would be making a significant increase over his current salary. Pipe dream I know, but it’s possible…

Then our WR coach would be…. Wallace?

I agree, you need the threat of qb run at a minimum. Qb taking off for 20 yards on a busted play is a dagger.

Didn’t Gundy once say that he wanted, or maybe preferred, that his OC also be QB coach?

I used to be in a similar camp to Gundy of not wanting to replace coaches every couple of years or hiring alums because they would stick around, but I’m fully over that thinking.

Gundy still has some innovation in him but if he is truly as hands off as he claims then he should have no problem getting a good, P4 coordinator and letting them do their thing. Stop with getting unknown coaches from low levels so you can teach them the OSU offense and let them learn on the job.

If we have to replace coordinators every 2-3 years because we’re kicking ass and they’re getting bigger coordinator/HC jobs, then that’s great! We start to become a destination not a stepping stone.

Kinda rambly but basically the program needs a refresh.

Hiring ZR would be great for me because then my wife would want to go to every single game. Not sure why to be honest.
