For PFB+ Subscribers: A Rashod Owens Q&A on why he committed to OSU

I touched base with new Oklahoma State commit Rashod Owens over the phone Tuesday night. Owens committed to OSU late on Monday. Here’s our conversation transcribed for PFB+ subscribers …

Q: Describe to me how the recruiting process has been for you with OSU.

A: It went pretty quickly. I’ve been talking and keeping in touch with them a lot, and then me and my family ended up hearing what they were saying about the opportunity, and we went ahead and decided to do it.

Q: What was your initial reaction when OSU offered a week ago?

A: I was excited. Oklahoma State has always been a place I’ve wanted to go. They’ve always been in my top three choices, so I was excited.

Q: What position does OSU envision you playing?

A: They want me to play receiver. I only played running back to help out the team. (Ed. note: Because he was the most dynamic athlete on the team!)

Q: Who has been your primary recruiting contact?

A: Kasey Dunn

Q: When is your official visit?

A: I’m taking my official visit in January.

Q: How have other sports prepared for your college football?

A: Just seeing different athleticism from people, and getting into great competition, it has helped me a lot.
