Yep, and all we had to do was not allow a third string QB to throw a touchdown pass to the corner of the end zone for the win in 2013. All we had to do was score one more touchdown in our trillion trips to the red zone in 2021. That would’ve been three conference titles since 2011. Nope!!! I know enough football when I’m trying to figure out why our coaches wouldn’t give the ball to the best players on the team moron. Say what you want, but coaches making six or seven figures a year should be smart enough to know who their best players are, and how often they NEED the ball. That way you can avoid getting your chit pushed in by teams like South Bama.

I’m just saying, you can’t sit here and tell me OU and Texas have always prevented OSU from winning 1 or 2 more title games. 2013 and 2021 were specifically years where we shot ourselves in the foot. I just get incredibly sick and tired of listening to lame excuses by “fans” like you as to why we don’t have at least two conference titles by now. At some point in time you have to admit it is what it is, and someone is responsible for screwing all that up. Gundy in 2013 and Dunn in 2021.

They stopped throwing thr fade to Martin because he kept dropping them. We had a third string back back up center sills was injuried. You have a qb that in this spot would throw a pick. I know in your mind you have some crazy ideas about are players. 22 our best back would try and run thru his own lineman. I dnt know how many recievers and lineman hurt under dunn. This is the part you dnt understand, you just can run every play with third string players. Until you except these are not excuses but fact. Last i check the defense at baylor was good. I have consistently. His name was Spencer Sanders. Insert a different QB and Dunn doesn’t have chit to bail him out. Did the first four games last season not teach you anything? Of course not, look how chitty and pathetic our offense looked when we did a QB carousel and refused to give the ball to our best offensive weapons. We couldn’t even score over 13 points going into the fourth quarter against an FCS team that was just barely above average.
Your really looking at those 2 games. Lets look at some numbers. Bowman did start the first 3. Look at the numbers 11 games 32 points. Take out the 1 bad game 35 points. We were just a tad under 30. Take the 2 games out almost 37. All these numbers are better then sanders. Sanders had 35 in 7 then we drop of to 13 a game.

Joy sometimes I think you’re brain dead but somehow manage to post. In 13 was it Gundys fault we dropped the int ? What about 21 when you have a third string back that doesn’t know which way to run is Gundy playing ? Did he make those plays ? What do you mean? It’s common sense. One play doesn’t always define why you lost. Just because you guys don’t like that fact doesn’t mean it’s not true. Even Gundy would tell you that.
Also, a good OC runs his offense to efficiency from game one. He doesn’t start doing that until game five. When you’re going into year five as an OC you still shouldn’t be relying on your supervisor to do your job for you. Dunn has learned absolutely nothing in the OC position so far.

If you return 17 and 18 starters. Then it’s not otherworldly to think you should win the conference. The problem here is you want to hold those teams to that standard, but you don’t want to hold OSU to that standard. Stop being a hypocrite.
