Re watching Houston I really liked how we motioned out Ollie for the slant. He dragged that corner for like 10 yards after the catch lol
Wonder if we’ll keep implementing that. I like the idea of getting him the ball in space getting tackled by smaller defenders instead of the beating of getting hit by DL and LB

I’m all for anything that gets OG and BP into space.
Also like to see more quick runs to the outside either with pulling blockers or seals. Anything to get OG out of that pile more often!

I’d also really love to see my favorite run play. I first noticed it during the Lester years and I don’t know what it’s called but it’s a 2 back set where QB turns and fakes the handoff to one back, then kind of back hand flips it out to the other. I think that would kill running the fake to OG and getting Nixon to the edge with speed.
I’ve seen other teams running it occasionally but rarely remember seeing us use it in the last 20 years

This will sound selfish of me as an OSU fan - But if we do have the large lead that everyone thinks we might have, I sure hope they get OG the heck out of there. The Doak Walker is important, but is it as important as being a real contender/potential champion in the Big 12 CCG? I say not. I still have terrible PTSD after the 2021 Big 12 CCG when Jaylen Warren was hurt on the sideline. You cannot convince me that Jaylen would not have found the end zone on that last play to win the title.

Taking them to Granny’s for breakfast and then show them around campus. Going to try and brave Joe’s but might be too much of a sh@t show. My cousin does a big tailgate across from the stadium so will end up there directly before the game. Will probably be frozen afterwards so will head out of town after the game.

We ran this play to Nixon for the only TD we scored against South Alabama. I hope they still have it in the gameplan somewhere.
