My folks are in GIA with my aunt and her husband. Kam and I have tickets, but just not gonna sit through a 20-point blowout on a school/work night with an 8pm tip off. Part of me feels like a failure for not going, but I also know I made the right decision. 23-year old Travis would have crawled through the snow to be there tonight. 41-year old Travis knows better.

Last year I traveled like 10 hours after chemotherapy to sit at the KU game (when we are on a mini-run) to watch a heartbreaker. On one hand it was completely dumb, but yet it was exactly what I needed at the time. Sounds like you and your son spending the night at home is exactly what you need right now. No shame in that whatsoever. Doesn’t make you any more or less of a fan, Travis. :cowboy_hat_face:
