Grades: Coaching Fails Oklahoma State in Loss to Kansas State

I possibly agree. It would be nice to see what Flores can do, but you also do not want to ruin him. We have no running game to speak of so the defense can focus on the QB.

The issue is that Dunn is awful and that we are not a good team. We are not winning anything this year and possibly the next 2 to 3 years.

Ruin him by running him off to another program? You think that’s not a possibility?

There is always that possibility. I suspect that he will stay at least 1 year given that he is most likely going to be the starting QB next year.

When he’s QB3 behind Alex Cate Rangel?

Rangl sucks and Gundy alluded to it when he made the comment “we know what we have in Rangl”. I do not think that Rangl will be on the team next year.

It is good that they are taking time to develop Flores. There is no reason to play him this year as the team sucks on both sides of the ball and Flores is not going to fix that.

Yeah, not a great idea to get your future QB1 some game-time experience. Sounds like something Coach Gumby might say. :sob:

So you would rather have Flores get the crap beat out of him or play him when he is not ready? Let him learn and develop on the side lines. The Manning kid on Texas sat his first year and is pretty much sitting this year except Ewers got hurt and he got some play time in.

QB’s get ruined when they play to soon and get beat up. Our Oline sucks right now. I would get him some time in a game that we have a huge lead in.

This year is lost and there is no need to rush Flores. Hopefully, he sticks around next year and becomes the starter. Rangel will not be with the team next year. He is not a division 1 QB.

You think Flores is a true freshman??? :sob: :sob: :sob:

I think he’s hurt so it doesn’t matter but Gundy says it takes 15 games before everything slows down and they can be a good QB. So I guess we forfeit this year next year and part of 2026.
Truly Gundy at his best.

He is a red shirt freshman, wtf are you talking about?

Yeah, yet you thought he was a true freshman, thus “Let him learn and develop on the side lines” as if he hadn’t already done that last season. :sob:

No I did not think he was a true freshman. My thinking is why ruin him when we have no running game.

What are we saving him for? Next year’s o line with zero experience?

Cause he needs college game-time experience.
