Special Teams was a D at best and was lucky that their dumbest plays were offset by Baylor penalties.

Probably right but sadly it’s the least of our worries by an order of magnitude
Its less important only because its a smaller portion. But our kicker isn’t reliable, we roughed a punter (offset by a BU penalty), we had 2 return penalties. In a competitive game, those are things that get you beat. But at the end of the day, our special teams is the wrong kind of special.
Yes what you say is true but only matters when you are competitive, i.e. have a chance to win. Given our D and our O we had no chance so again even if special teams were stellar it wouldn’t have mattered 1 iota.
