Gundy Coach of the Year, Six Cowboys Make All-Big 12 First Team

I’m just glad his interception count lowered significantly in the second half of the season. Everyone wants to point at the OU game , but really the first interception the OU corner made a pretty good play by just barely getting in front of the receiver in time. The second interception was popped up in the air but pretty much on the money by Sanders.

Agreed. Hopefully Sanders can cut the TO’s in the title game.

I think Warren got bypassed because he did not play much the last few games while injured, otherwise he would have most likely put up some nice yardage and scores.

Willie Fritz should get coach of the century.

His record as a HC overall is 185-112. Not quite coach of the century, but probably not the worst.

I’ll say this for 8 of the 10 “Big 12” coaches: they are far less vindictive that I would have been.

If I was head coach at “Big 12 State,” I would’ve cast ZERO votes for any representative from UO or Texas.

I’m not getting Malcom not getting DPY at all. That baffles me. Bress getting OPY and on a 7-5 team :flushed:. Harper was screwed too. The two LBers from uo I thought one would be first team. Karma

Hopefully Goldevske is back and Sills and Warren are at full speed for the Baylor game. Just keep taking care of business.

31-43 on the D1 level though.

That’s not very impressive. Why is he way better than Gundy, Joe?

Take that back he went 17-7 at Georgia southern so 48-50 on the d1 level

Where do you think that would average in Big XII conference finish each year? Higher than 4th?

Lol he’d be right there with Texas the last decade

Does Willie Fritz have a billionaire to donate money to the school he coaches to make his football program more appealing?

So because he didnt get a facility upgrade he’s better coach? Yea right dude

Les Miles went 3-9 and 0-10 at Kansas. He was the first coach since Pat Jones to take OSU to three consecutive bowl games, and he played for a national title twice in his 9 seasons at LSU. Does that still make him a bad coach?

Tulane is almost like the Kansas of the AAC. It’s a tough place to have success at. They are 533-654 all time. They don’t have several millionaire alums or even billionaire alums to help make their football program a more attractive place.

Not to mention it’s slim pickings in recruiting for them after the P5 schools and better AAC and Sun Belt schools are done raping the southern states for recruits. If Mike Gundy were to go to Tulane today do you really think he would have 15 straight bowl seasons with them?

You guys can try to cut your point to however you want. The point I’m getting at is you are trying to compare apples to oranges. How about putting some thought into it first before posting the comment?

Lol it’s laughable how your still trying to defend your “we’d be better off with willie fritz” comment. But I guess I shouldn’t find it crazy of you since you believe Gundy is racist and believe all the headlines you read.

Your the one who should put some thought into it. I’m not the one who was trying to fire Gundy for fritz

I’m also not the one putting down a guy at a school that doesn’t have near the resources or recruits that Gundy has right now. You still never answered my question. Would Gundy have 15 straight bowl seasons at Tulane?

As far as Gundy being racist, most of us have left that up to one of his ex star running backs and another one of his ex players and an ex Colorado player.
