Did Leavitt ever sign with anyone. I thought he was supposed to be the top qb in the portal ? It was said LSU wanted him but didn’t happen
He’s still out there. Tennessee & LSU are likely going to be the ones in the running for him. LSU is still trying to take a swing at Chambliss before they move on.

Chambliss signed a deal to return to Ole Miss pending his waiver approval.
Im aware. He also got another year of eligibility. But…these things are so fluid and LSU will throw money like no one else. See Demond Williams and Washington. None of these guys are “employees” and therefore none of this stuff is binding.

Leavitt was visiting LSU this week (maybe today?) They are also supposedly the team that offered $6M for the QB that signed with Washington for $5M last week and then jumped straight into the portal.
So ill put this out there with the caveat that it absolutely could be fiction. Follow me here…One of my former teammates works in the SID office at ASU. He told me last night that supposedly Leavitt has some structural damage to a knee that he injured while playing pickup hoops over the Xmas break. He claims that Leavitt and his agent are telling teams that he will not come throw or do any workout stuff. Says that they are telling people that his fim/career so far should speak for itself. But, the truth is that hes hiding the injury and will wait until after the NIL deal is in place to resume any kind of workouts. At which point, he will all of a sudden get hurt…while being on the dime of the next university.
Again, I have no idea the validity of it. Its probably likely false, as im sure that if im hearing about it and you are, then the odds are LSU and others have as well. Just thought it was an interesting angle

Gotta think that schools will have injury clauses and physical requirements as part of the NIL deals. They are common place at any other professional level, so gotta assume the GMs at schools like LSU are knowledgeable enough to include these clauses. Or if they don’t currently, one player like this and suddenly they all will.
