Boynton sleeps with a notepad.
Need to get more bigs ready to play.
We don’t have more bigs.
Wish Anei hadn’t transferred. I noticed he didn’t play in SMU’s game last night - wonder if he’s hurt?
We got pena n the jc tranfer.
Pena’s a true freshman - just out of high school. For some reason he hasn’t traveled/suited up yet.
Yea I know were play other fr. But pena like u said is not suiting up. But the jc tranfer needs to develop.
Kalib Boone in the Marquette game did not look like he is ready to be in the starting lineup. But when Yor transferred that changed the plan and he got pressed into a starting role.
Hopefully Oakland isn’t very good and Kouma and Pena can get some extended playing time. You’re right, we’ll definitely need more than just Boone and Moncrief down low during conference games.
I like Cade Cunningham’s unselfishness as a player. Notice against Marquette he didn’t throw up over 20 shots, but had a well rounded game contributing almost everywhere on the stat sheet. You don’t need the most points to prove your a good player (Dennis Rodman proved that).
I like how this team shares the ball with each other and they don’t get too out of control. Disciplined basketball is learned and isn’t developed over night. They will get better with the turnovers and needless fouling as long as Boynton keeps that mindset integrated in them.
