The comparison of Scott Drew and Mike Boynton in years 1-6 are spot on. Both were amazing recruiters but had rough starts in Big 12 play. I remember listing to Jim Traitor and BBJ on the radio just trashing Scott Drew as a failure. Coach Boynton has his own critics, but I believe he will figure it out. As long as he is recruiting at the level he is, he needs to remain at the helm and prove he has what it takes to win championships. Fans just gotta be patient. On the other hand, Gundy is a poor recruiter in the Big 12 by comparison and has one just one Big 12 championship 10 years ago. I would have him on an incredibly short leash.
