Man, I know. This guy. He thinks it’s some badge of honor to make stupid guesses each week about how the team will do. I like that he called it “making a decision” instead of “making a guess” as if anything changes (except his quickly waning credibility as a “reasonable” person) based on his guesses which are worse than everyone’s so far.

Out of step with reality? Many thought Arkansas could win that game. I said it would be in the 30’s (I was right) and I said it would be a close game (Overtime, and it was). They didn’t know any more than you did, but you’re picking for bragging rights, to pretend like you had some amazing foresight, but you didn’t. You were wrong. If you’re trying to make it seem like a prediction means something, then literally everyone who picked is more clever, insightful, and reasonable than you. I think all a pick really means when you’re emotionally invested in a team, is where your heart is.
