Good. Keep it rolling. I would like to actually watch a full Oklahoma State basketball game without being frustrated the whole time.
Love this! Really big get, I love the way Lutz is building this team. I’m more excited for the future of OSU basketball now than in a long time
HUGE get! Gotta wonder if Pops didn’t put a little pressure/influence cause that kid could go just about anywhere.
This is huge! I’ve been saying it since NIL has become a thing. We need to put most of the money to other sports and let those sports bring attention to our school (and this will help the football program as well).
Carson said on the podcast the other day Lutz has a larger NIL pool than Gundy to work with.
If true, that’s awesome! I hate it for Gundy, because he was handcuffed, but I feel that’s the area Oklahoma State needs to settle into.
I do think on a per player basis (just like NBA vs NFL salaries) it’s 100% spot on.
…he added that it was because Lutz went out and raised the funds - Gundy didn’t want to raise money.
Great pickup!

Yep this is true. The job for Mike changed when NIL got introduced and he didn’t do why was required of the job to stay competitive.
It’s been a minute.
We were a decent basketball program for the longest time under Eddie, and football still sucked. So how exactly would being good at basketball help? One thing I do know is we have a coach in Stillwater that seems like he knows how to recruit.
We’re a basketball school again!
Hey champ,
Travis Ford recruited. Mike Boynton got the best player in the country. Hasn’t been our problem.
Both well underperformed another coach at the school at the same time that supposedly didn’t know how to recruit.
Not bagging on Lutz. This is his first real season. The bar is low, just compete. Tournament next year or bust, though.
It had to have a little bit to do with it. You can’t be an alum, plus a former player, and not have some bias to the school with your kids. Hell, my kids heard the alma mater song each night before bed. It was part of their bedtime routine.
Wouldn’t surprise me a bit, if his dad ends up as an assistant coach of some sort.
True, he probably will be!
Brian’s done a good job at Owasso. Randy Rutherford needed to have a son who could play, cause he’s wanting to move over to college coaching, hope he gets there too, good dude and heck of a player for us.
Ain’t no way.

That’s probably what he meant, on a per-player basis it’s more. There are a TON more football players than b.ball.
I totally agree. The coaching has been the problem at OSU for the last two years pertaining to football. We see what happens when you can’t recruit or coach. At least Travis Ford and Mike Boynton made the tourney when they recruited some of the best players in the country. We can’t even make a bowl game in football now.
I think on a per player basis and overall Lutz had more if I understood correctly.
