Honestly, I wish that game against Oregon would’ve been buried on ESPN +. It’s going to be an ugly loss.

I’ll give us a 20% to win. I’m not predicting any kind of score. You look at the NBA where they do a seven game playoff series. The Thunder blow the T-Wolves out three times, win a nailbiter once, and get asbolutely blown out once.

You do realize that college has more consistency than professional sports, right?

If last year’s Bama and Vandy played 10 times, how many would Vandy win? Or Bama and OU? Bama was better than both of those teams, but not so much better that they couldn’t lose. You don’t see a lot of rematches in a college season, but when you do, that “consistency” isn’t there.

There are lower lows and more elite elites in college, but I think we’ll be close enough to Oregon to have a decent chance.

What exactly can you point to that gives you this confidence? I’m just curious here. Because 20% is not exactly what I’d classify as “close enough to Oregon to have a decent chance” :man_shrugging:.

One in five? That’s pretty good against a team that was #1 for most of the year.

Early season. We’ll be looking to prove something. They could be a little fat, looking ahead to the meat of their schedule. New QB. Sure, ours will also be new, but in our case that’s a good thing and, in their case, replacing an NFL senior veteran probably isn’t yet even if their new guy eventually surpasses him. There’s limited history, but we did take FSU to the wire with J.W. Walsh when FSU was the defending champs as a comparison situation.

You’re basically telling me we have less of a chance against Oregon than Gundy’s overall record against OU. Couple that with the fact that Gundy is still our coach :man_shrugging:. If you truly thought this through carefully you would realize how ignorant your definition of “close enough” really means :+1:. Then again, it doesn’t surprise me coming from a guy who was pretty much forced to be silent for nine straight games.
