We’ll see. Iowa State isn’t playing for anything. They had aspirations on winning the conference at the beginning of the year and now they’re firmly in the middle of the pack, 4-4 in conference. Becht regressed pretty hard this year, TD-INT ratio is way down. Yards down.
We’ve been competitive the last two games. Defense is playing much better. Offense has been ok for one half last two games. I think Meacham knows he’ll never be a HC again; no one wants to go O-fer again. We’re at home, team will want to win one for the loyal fans still watching this trainwreck. Coaches and players are auditoning for the portal and/or the new coach.
Iowa State is much, much better than we are, but we’re not as bad as we were. If Iowa State comes out phoning it in, we can make it a game. If Campbell gets them dialed in, we’ll be lucky to stay in it for a half. We’ll see.

In just a few hours this miserable season will be over, and hopefully the start of a successful new era.

We found a way to give a four win team the entire second half to beat us. We’re not going to do that with a 7 win team that plays decent defense. Especially not with the offense we have.

This is probably going to be Flores last game in an OSU jersey.
One could only hope. I’m sure he’s a good kid but he sucks at being a P4 QB.
