What about the discipline for the coaching staff? Are we going to have actual coaching this season? How can you expect the players to abide by rules that the coaching staff won’t abide by?
Maybe thats different with Meacham and Grantham this season. However, I don’t blame the players one bit if they’re slacking off when Dunn, Nardo, and Dickey did it while at OSU.

In other words, you again have no idea what you’re talking about. What Dunn, Nardo, Dickey and anyone else has done has zero bearing on where the team is this year, yet you saddle them with your emotional damage. I’ll make you a deal: wait until the fifth week of the season to post again and base it on the results of that period and I’ll stop pointing out what an idiot you are. Deal?
So if we’re 2-3 during that time and out of contention for the conference title. Are you going to tell us we were right instead of idiots? Or are you going to tuck tail and dive into the abyss like Robert28 did?

2-3 means losses to Oregon, Baylor, and Arizona. You pretty much count yourself out. Gundy isn’t going to win 8 in a row.
Same head coach. That’s the issue. Not the assistant coach hires.

We literally started off 2-2 and went 7 of 8 the rest of the way to make the conference game just two years ago. Not that far off, and there’s no telling if you’d even need to be that good. Three losses could make it.
The real question is, what level of success do we need to achieve for you to go eat crap and not just make excuses? If sheer force of will can win games, I will make sure it happens.
You know something interesting. Gundy has only reeled off 7 wins in a row twice in his career. 2013 and 2016. The result was still the same. No conference title and a bowl game nobody cared about 
. Do you understand what I’m saying here?
How about winning the conference for the first time in 13+ years? You guys can’t use OU as an excuse any longer. Now it’s going to be the NIL excuse. Gundy wasn’t playing OU for a conference title in 2021. OU wasn’t even in the conference last season. It’s just excuse after excuse after excuse to keep justifying mediocrity. I’m not the one coming up with excuses for why Gundy can’t do something. What’s the excuse for going 0-9 in the conference? Please explain. Because even with injuries OSU should’ve not been that terrible.
I’ve already said this a millions times. Perhaps I should go ahead and say it again 
. I don’t expect Gundy to win the conference every year. Especially when OU was still in it. Hell, I don’t even expect him to do it every year in this new conference. I told you guys to be cautious about making OSU this new “dominant brand” for the Big 12. Because I know the exact type of person Gundy is. I’ve been reading people’s words and body language my entire life. So what happened in the new conference with no OU or Texas? We finished dead last. Say what you want, but AR, Jeff, and myself were right about this all along.
If there was an urgency to be the best in the new conference you’re not going to go hire a D2 coach and fire proven ones. You’re not going to allow an OC coach to adjust his offense when the season is halfway over and you’re already out of contention. You’re going to hit the portal hard to see what you can get and stop being delusional like it’s still 2006. Gundy never did this until his hand was forced.
I would bet everything in my investment portfolio right now had the BoR not forced his hand that at least one of these clowns (Dickey, Nardo, Dunn) would still be on the staff. I GUARANTEE YOU that would be the case. I expect Gundy to win this conference probably once every three years to be realistic. While maintaining at least 8 win seasons or better when he’s not winning the CC. That sounds reasonable and logical to me. The issue is that even in Gundy’s best years outside of 2011 he just keeps proving he can’t or won’t do it. Here’s an example:
2029: 8-5
2030: 10-2
2031: 11-2 (Conference Champs)
Not keep getting “winning” seasons while consistently refusing to take the bigger steps after 14 years. Tell me what real good that does for OSU football’s future?

No one is reading all that. You only say five things, so I’ll assume it’s all five. Just go eat crap.
You asked the question. I gave you the response. If you can’t properly acknowledge what my expectations are then why reply to me? In short, I’m not the one making excuses for Gundy’s complacency and lack of motivation. It’s only the people living inside the Gundy universe that do.
I would by lying if I weren’t curious to see what other oddball excuses will be made for not being able to win the conference over the next few years. Assuming Gundy doesn’t get fired or is still coaching. I think it’s more likely he’ll go out like Gary Patterson before hoisting another conference title above his head.

You still talk about assistant coaches from like ten years ago, so I really doubt it.
No idea who Robert28 is I’ll give you that we’re 1-3, but at least we showed some life today. My issue with you is that you have absolutely nothing constructive to say. I know neither of us is happy where the team is, but you have a choice: be a Debbie downer with every post or look for positives we can build on. You keep being you and I’ll keep pointing out how awful you must be to vacation with.

So the question is this. Were we showing any life with Gundy since late September of last year? Been trying to tell you guys all along who the problem is.
There is a positive to build on. We look a lot better without the coach you all said we can’t live without .
