Great class I really like it, hopefully we have a few scholarships left to hit the transfer portal or snag some kids that back out at the last second in February. Also, I noticed PFB listed Rangel at 6’5 but 247 has him at 6’2?

When gundy talked earlier this season I took it we had 18. With hunter in the portal, which I think he is going to Nebraska. That should mean 19. Unless there is a decommit somewhere I think we are done with hs players. We were trying for sledge but he went to Auburn.
So it’s to the portal and beyond as buzz would say.

I didn’t read that one, about 4.
I read when we had 13 committed he said we had 2 or 3 for hs and 2 0r 3 for portal. I took that as 4 with 1 floater. Which would have been 18. Add to hunter leaving add 1.
But u can push scholarships back a year. It just leaves u short next year again.
We have a definite 7 that have to leave. We have a ton of guys who can stay on defense for super seniors. Sills is the only offensive guy that could stay. I put tanner brown in there too.
Jeff said 90 % of the players hate gundy. And Jeff is rite we have so many guys leaving we can’t use all 25 scholarships.
Not like Campbell at isu, where they love him. They have lost 10 to the portal( two starters) and a bunch of seniors how could stay.

Seems a good signing class.
I am well aware that highlight reels are highlights, and I can easily imagine him being out ‘quicked’ a time or two watching his tape, but I might be most intrigued by seeing Calvin Harvey’s development. He missed his senior season, comes in at 6’8" and 330 (Pat Jones says that means 6’5" and 299… lol) seems just the kind of project that can become all conference, but may never see a snap as well. All I know is we can call him IHOP for now, as the dude loved ‘pancakes’ in high school!!

I see Pat’s point on guys that are listed at 6’ 215lbs but for a guy that size he’s probably 6’8" 350 and cuts weight to get into playing shape.

Agreed, but that tape is from his junior year so that is a distinct possibility. Also, moving to guard at this level isn’t out of the question either.
