H1B and H2B immigrants do in fact have to have a special skill. They are paying taxes. But not every immigrant has this kind of visa.
The illegal immigrants are the ones that are draining money - especially non-working but also non-documented employees since they can’t pay taxes if undocumented. As @Dribble noted, make e-verify required so folks that do actually work can pay taxes.
As for Asian students, my opinion is that they do better because their work ethic is better based on cultural differences and being grateful for opportunities. I personally don’t think they are naturally “smarter”. I have zero problem accepting them on merit alone.

Read MOST of the article, admittedly not all of it, but did a quick ctrl + f for “illegal” as well as a few other terms and don’t see anywhere in the article where it mentions illegal immigration. Just not sure if I missed it or you’re seeing something else.

@ExUtahPoke That’s because “illegal immigration” is not separated out by the CBO or any government office. Heck, those words were abandoned long ago for silly political reasons.

Honestly if y’all want to make PFB a fully non-politics zone (like the original rules), that would be fine. I’ll abide by that if that’s the majority agreement. PFB democracy at its finest
