Oklahoma State Quarterback Adam Schobel Commit Flips to TCU

The Cowboys are left without a QB commit in the class.

Feels like Schobel may be one of those modern-day NIL athletes playing for four schools in four years.

Been a TCU fan since birth but committed to Baylor and OSU first?
Oh well. Best of luck to him unless he plays OSU

Dude’s got new team every year written all over him. This is his 3rd team and never set foot in college yet

This is a great example of why I don’t pay attention to recruiting rankings until the class is all signed. We could get eleventeen 12-star recruits and it just doesn’t matter unless they’re actually signed.

Strange……I figured with all this winning we’ve been doing, and TCU going an incredible 5-7 last season that a four star recruit wouldn’t do such a thing. I guess he isn’t very impressed with Texas Bowl trophies :man_shrugging:.

So he is going to TCU because TCU’s commit and first choice decided to go to SMU? Also looking at all of OSU’s QB offers and the schools they committed to, see the article, leaves me scratching my head although I do believe I know what the variable is that is in play causing some seemly logic defying decisions. Hint: its color is green.

It’s not a big loss. We have Rangel, Flores and the new kid that we signed in December. 3 scholarship QBs are all you need. Have more and someone will portal out.

Until they decide to transfer elsewhere.

You have to figure the 3rd guy is going to transfer out, especially in today’s football climate. When one transfers, it becomes easier to sign another one. in 2025, they have increased rosters by 20 scholarships, we’ll be fine.

We have a walkon too. Hread good stuff. Im surprised. Stacked qbs is had to keep. How it is these guys will get one year. Unless flores or smith are better. Havent hread of anyone jump another.

The 2nd could as well. Then you’re left with one QB. Then a lot of that depends on who you’re bringing in as well. If you’re bringing in a proven product then QB3 has already left with QB2 being pissed that he’s more than likely going to be on the bench for next season. Then he decides to leave as well.

Now you’re more than likely to go pick up some backup from a G5, FCS, or JUCO that’s never stepped on a P4 field. Then if for some reason your QB1 goes down you could be stuck with an Alex Cate or Ethan Bullock. I don’t know about you, but I don’t care to see that type of player on an OSU roster ever again. Let alone playing in a close game.

When your QB1 was a QB3 for 3 years, are those other guys really a step down?

Well that’s too bad . Still got. Long ways to go before signing day . This guy should be a gymnast with all the flips he’s got .

Youd like to keep guys that you actually offer, especially at the skill positions. But nothing to worry about. OSU is a good enough program that someone will fill that spot thru the portal or recruiting.

4 stars don’t belong here. Wondering why he even chose osu in the first place. 3 :star2: U.

I guess only time can tell. Bowman’s lack of being able to scramble, not throw off his back foot, and throwing as many interceptions as he does touchdowns leaves a lot to be desired. You could be right though. We have experienced in the past in Stillwater where the best QB on the roster holds the clipboard until disaster strikes.

Not trying to talk trash about the guy, but Ethan Bullock wouldn’t have even been good enough to start at Tulsa. Then people wonder why we’re still on one conference title since 2011 :man_shrugging:. Whoever thought he was a better option than Illingworth when Sander’s was injured needs to have his head examined.

Good riddance, sounds like he’ll flip again.

I’d rather have hungry 3 stars who work hard than 4s and 5s who are entitled like a lot of those kids UT got that dropped to 2 and 3. :sob: :joy:

Didn’t happen last season. Won the conference and went to the CFP. 4 and 5 star recruits can be a good thing as long as you have the right coach. There’s no reason we can’t consistently get four to six 4 star recruits every year. I personally think we should go after high profile offensive lineman and start making OSU the next Offensive Line University.
