Warrants are put out, but since theft of less than $500 is a misdemeanor, then this warrant has low priority. Can an arrest warrant be issued for an unidentified person? Maybe it took them a while to confirm identity?

Iām sure someone locally is dealing with the issue and in contact with corp legal and the local DA. Without knowing Walmartās policy on shoplifting one canāt know what is possible but get the lawyers involved and usually anything is possible. In any case the ādealsā are likely between the DA and whoever is representing Wendel and the smart play is to just make a deal, pay the money and move on. Unless of course Wendell is totally innocent and wants to fight the charges. Itās what I would do if I had the legal resources. Again he is innocent until proven guilty so until he is found guilty or agrees to a plea deal he should play. Once the issue is resolved then a decision can be made on what to do if anything based on whatever policies exist for player behavior.
