Some of the future of Cowboy wrestling is competing in Iowa this weekend.
Bassett has a weight advantage over Raney, but I still like Raney for the win, and I have no doubt that coach Taylor will develop Raney to much higher levels than Bassett will achieve at Virginia Tech.
Don’t forget “Future Cowboy Commit” Turner Ross ![]()
When did “Bassett hound” commit to VT?
I know I’m super late to this but felt I should get my thoughts on record: it’s awful how Jordyn’s match with Bo went. I feel so bad for the guy. But he’ll be back in time to suit up in orange next year and face him in the duel with VT. Jayden: dude’s the man. I’d love to see him attack a little more. I know he’s more comfortable with his elite counter wrestling abilities, but there’s gonna be some guys at the elite level that if you allow them to do ALL the attacking, they’re gonna get in too tight to maneuver on more than one move. It’s nitpicky, I know, but that’s how his game will improve. And lastly, Zinkin is a DAWG! Go watch his match with Landon Sidun. Rocklin’s throwing everything at this bulldog, and is JUST about to score TD’s on several attacks. Sidun is the better wrestler, right now. Rocklin’s coming for him. Look at how he obliterated the field at Super 32. The guy has a lot of that angry fight in him that we’ve seen out of Troy Spratley. He competes with a chip on his shoulder and he should. FloWrestling still has Domenic Munaretto ahead of him in the P4P and Rocklin pinned the dude! Go Pokes!
