I genuinely think we actually would be in the conversation of KU, Duke,UNC,UK. I could be wrong. But if you have Eddie Sutton for 40 years instead of 15 there’s a LOT that you can accomplish.

Certainly an interesting scenario. Our program did decline quite a bit even with Iba still here. Could we have recovered? Maybe/perhaps. Certainly we could have taken some of the shine off of KU’s history. Iba rejecting Maravich from the Olympic team is one of his biggest non-AD mistakes in my mind and makes me wonder how much we really could have done during the basketball transition of the late 60’s and 70’s.
All I’m gonna say is this thread is awesome. Thanks y’all.
