I think they finished the season ranked 18th by the biggest women’s soccer poll so I was delighted to see an OSU team actually get some respect in a national tournament for once.

Most definitely because the basketball team got the shaft. Considering they only lost to the eventual national champion by 11 points, while Louisville who got a 2 seed lost to Stanford by 15 points, shows that our girls deserved a much higher seed. They deserved Texas’ 6 seed at the worst since we split with them and finished higher in the conference. I’ll never understand that seeding.

I agree. I thought a 13-seed was pretty low two years ago with some who were above them. At least they showed it was too low by making the world series. I think they’re getting more deserved attention this year and hopefully will be back in the top 10 this week since a few teams in front of them lost their series over the weekend. At 35-5 they should be in the top 10.
