Saw this…extra innings and then destroyed Georgia in the next game.
At least we know G can be hit.

Yes. It shows they aren’t completely invincible. However, their pitching hasn’t been nearly as strong as their hitting this year. Georgia did pay for beating them in game 1, though. The most funny part about them losing game 1 is that one of their girls hit a home run and then never touched home plate because she was hopping and hopped right over it. If she had not done that, they would’ve won in 7 and not gone to extra innings. Just made me laugh that something so careless and dumb is what led to them eventually losing. You love to see it.

That’s what I’m hoping for as well. Obviously sweeping Texas and beating OU at least twice would be ideal, but if we can just get one on OU and win the series against Texas, that would be a step in the right direction. We dominated them in the 80s and 90s, so it it stinks that our softball team, much like football, has taken a huge step forward and is getting back close to where it was in the 90s, yet OU’s softball team is on a pretty historic run the past decade or so.

Rough Stretch Coming up. I hope they can sweep Texas and at least get one W against the Gooners.

I think we’re fairly evenly matched with Texas. They haven’t seen Eberle or Maxwell before, so hopefully that plays in our favor.
OU is a tough out for every team. G seems a little more hittable this year than in years past, and we’ll have to be able to hit them because no one is stopping that offense right now.
But here’s hoping we enter the weekend 2-0. Neither Wichita State nor Tulsa are automatic W’s.

Rule number #1… don’t pitch to a girl from Chandler when the game is on the line. Cowgirls learned that lesson the hard way today.

She graduated a year before me. Saw her and her twin sister win three state championships in person. When she walked up to the plate I knew we were in trouble

Didn’t realize Burgess was a twin. I only played basketball and golf in high school. My mom is a teacher and he tried hard to make her convince me to play football.
