PFB Picks: Predictions for Oklahoma State’s Week 2 Game against Arkansas

I chose 34-31 Arky, and I’m almost positive I’m the only one that chose it to go to OT. Even though I got the team wrong. My score wasn’t far off. You can stop being angry now.

Or you could ask yourself why a 6-7 team was even remotely close the entire game to begin with? That same team that lost 55-10 to Tulsa in a bowl game.

Hey champ,

I’d say the most important thing about a prediction is who wins, so if we want to get semantic about, “I called overtime!” Then someone who picked OSU to win by 40 was still more right than you.

However, again, by the numbers, you were off by 11 points. Almost every pick I remember was off by less than 11. You get no partial credit, champ. In fact, it’s even dumber to pick an away team to win an overtime game. If you thought it was going to be an overtime game (even though it should’ve been over on the offsides call), the conventional wisdom would be on the home team, so you went out of your way to be extra wrong. You don’t be angry.

And if you’d pay more attention to our conversations you would know I said I wouldn’t be surprised if OSU won either.

If we’re gonna played the “should’ve game” then Arkansas should’ve won if they didn’t leave 24 points on the field for OSU after penalties, turnovers, and missed field goals.

Conventional wisdom also tells me if we’ve proven we can lose at home to G5 teams, and play FCS schools to the wire. There’s no reasonable expectation that we should win against an average SEC team at home.

Hey champs,

That’s called playing both sides. I pick the other team, but wouldn’t be surprised if we won. I thought you were saying that predictions made you bold and you could admit when you were wrong. What I see is waffling and excuse making. If you’re going to waffle, just don’t make the prediction.

Champ, the refs making a bad call that would almost certainly end the game is a whole different thing than shooting yourself in the foot with undisciplined play. You also act like we didn’t have some undisciplined play as well that cost us points–which I’m sure you’d have called out as just our team’s poor coaching and not a valid excuse if we had lost. Double standards from a troll fake fan.

I did admit it. Real men can. Others simply don’t make a choice because they’re too scared to take chances.

As if others here don’t do that when we do lose. You know who I’m talking about. I’m not making excuses for Arky. I’m giving OSU credit where credit is due. They won the game. I’m simply replying to you making excuses for the CMU game. They did what they needed to win, and OSU didn’t. You can’t blame the refs for one play when the team and coaching staff collectively spent the entire game figuring out how to lose it.

As for it being different. No, not really, because as a team and coaches you had 3.5 quarters to correct any issues you were having the entire game. That didn’t happen. Which means the other team played better than you just long enough to win against your A55. If you can’t identify what the real issue was in that game then I don’t expect you to for this one. The great Pat Jones would agree with me too. Complaining about the refs is for losers. Luckily for us, Arkansas played just bad enough for us to take advantage of it and win. I highly doubt very many people are going to tell you OSU played a great game offensively or defensively. Just like when CMU came to Stillwater and won.

Hey Champ,

You didn’t admit anything. You’re out here trying to claim victory as the closest pick when that is, by no metric, correct. That’s mind-blowingly stupid.

I just threw the CMU game out there to a crowd that knows we got hosed. It’s not the same as a PI no call on the 4th play of the 3rd quarter. That’s whining about the refs. In the CMU game, the referees didn’t know the rules to the game they were officiating. That’s as egregious as Colorado’s 5th down victory in their NC year. Probably worse.

We hosed ourselves for that entire game. Get over it.

So saying you got closest automatically defines it as victory? I believe I said I got it wrong champ :+1:.

Making the Alamo bowl isn’t the same as a national championship. Two totally different paths and results.

Hey Champ,

If you’re going to tell someone to get over something, follow your own advice. You keep every OSU loss with you like your children to whom you’re giving suck, you absolute hypocrite.

It’s not a victory, nor is it sane. Everyone else picked the correct winner except for you.

In terms of egregiousness of the officiating error, not in terms of ultimate outcome.

You dumb cluck you think everything is simple as pie don’t you about making decisions when guys are flying around trying to make plays and coaches making decisions. Every team that goes out there has the right to play their best. Decisions made on the fly are hard.
You think it’s all made up how you win and go do it. Gheez if every coach was as smart as you there would be no loses then
Get over it troll , go bash someone else’s board that’s a loser
