Is now a good time to say I used to hate heights?

You’ll be too high to hate it.
I’m scared of heights but I love looking out of the plane window

It’s okay to admit you still hate heights.:joy: very rational fear. But I promise you you won’t really be thinking about how high up you are in a plane. Something about being in the pressurized cabin makes it feel different than if you’re on a roller coaster or on the top of a building or something.

I do actually like rollercoasters. They + pikes peak helped me get over it for the most part when I was younger

Heights don’t bother me, but being on top of something high up and then looking up really messes with my balance. Like if you’re at the top of a football stadium and look up at the sky or something. Gives me crazy vertigo.

Put me high up on an outside balcony of something like a condo, or something like the ledge of the Grand Canyon and you’ll se me VERY uptight. Same scene except it’s someone like my kids, even as adults, and you’ll see me freak the **** out. And I mean that in every sense of the words. Yea, I know, they have medicine and straight jackets for that.

That first pick looks like a dramatic reinterpretation of West Side Story.

I’m so excited! We just booked tickets to Hawaii for the week of Christmas. We’re flying into Maui and will island hop to Hilo & Kona on the Big Island and leave out of Kona on January 4.

Anyone got tips on Maui & Big Island?

Definitely do the Road to Hana on Maui. We did it in reverse (traveling from South to North essentially) and that helped beat the tour bus crowds. I would recommend starting as early as possible because it is a full day.

If you are into coffee, then the coffee roaster/grower tours on the Big Island are interesting. The “Kona” region has tons of different coffee growers tours to choose from. Our personal favorite roaster is the The Big Island Coffee Roasters.

And go all the way around the island. Best/scariest drive ever. Do it!!!
