Fun stat for me was we had more pins than tech falls or major decisions as a group (33).

I heard somewhere that dean was playing injured a bit; not sure if true or homer fans rumors.
Idk about injuries but Izzy’s defense was elite. Dean had probably 6-8 great chances he should’ve finished and Izzy held him off. The first takedown of the match was a slick ankle pick though. Caught him completely off guard straight into a figure 4 that he should’ve gotten more from. Second takedown was more so Dean throwing at him but still nice. Good win. Excited to watch him this year.

This win was big for a couple of different reasons. First, we need to show transfers they can improve if they come here. Secondly, IO just mentally improved after prior losses to Hamiti.

Why doesnt Iowa and PSU play in this tournament? would have been nice
Typically only do one legit tourney with your starters a year. Then some small one day ones like we did at Lindenwood. PSU did journeyman and Iowa is hosting the soldier solute.
Thompson is healthy per JS and will be in Vegas. Also sending Manibog instead of Harper. Kinda saw that one coming after Lindenwood.

Here are the brackets, schedule and all the info you need for the CKLV today. So glad we are back in this tourney. Especially with our young team to get top level competition this early in the season. A top 5 finish would be great in this loaded field.
