Are you into history? If so, Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History. Pick a series and it’s about the drive time to Austin.

Planet Money has 20-30 mins podcasts about the most random subjects, and then they dive into the money behind it.

They keep it really high level, nothing too technical.

Some of my favorite episodes:

The Bertcast if you are into comedy.

Tom Brown’s Body if you like true crime. There’s a splash of OSU in it.

Joe Rogan of course, since you know, you’re going to Austin.

Can’t Hurt Me…best book ever. And the cool thing about this audiobook is that that author and person that reads the books do a short ‘podcast’ between chapters to dive in deeper.

If you want to check out the DFW sports area, you can stream The Ticket on iHeart or the SportsDay (Dallas morning news) app.

I second Planet Money. I also suggest the Indicator and Marketplace, all are NPR podcasts.

Maybe checkout the Pistols Firing Pod for a good primer. :smirk:

I’ll add The Art of Manliness which was started by a Tulsa man. Two episodes I liked were about The Power of Brevity and How to tell Better Stories.
