•Matt Rhule was hired by the Carolina Panthers to fill their Head Coaching Vacancy. The deal is reported to be for 7 years/ 60 Million.
•Right now Baylor currently only has 3 players from their class unsigned. Although I’m not entirely convinced they are “unsigned”. By that I mean it could be a similar situation as OSU CB commit Jubbar Muhammad (already signed but not announced to have his ceremony with friends in Feb).
•Operating under the assumption however that they are unsigned, the three commits are all DBs who have zero combined P5 offers outside of Baylor. Oklahoma State is not looking to add another DB in this class, but would take one if they liked him enough.
•As far as potentially being able to pick up any recruits that could be released from NLI, (as is customary after most Head Coaching changes) Matt Rhule and Co have been telling all their recruits that the NFL was a very real possibility for the former Bears HC well before any of them signed. So what I take from that is I wouldn’t expect much if anything to come from the coaching change.
I know this may not have been the juicy news many of you wanted to hear, but I don’t ever want to reach for things simply for the sake of stirring up a good story. I’m writing this to answer the questions a few have posed about the topic as well as to inform the rest who might have been wondering. As always I will of course update this if any changes come to my attention. Go Pokes!
