Tell it to the Big 10. They’ve made it clear that they are only interested in adding institutions that are AAU members, and “will add to the rich research tradition shared amongst Big 10 member institutions since the conference’s founding.”
Nebraska was an AAU member when they were added 10 years ago… Nebraska is also a nationally recognized brand. Kansas State is not.
Ehh. I kinda get it. But I also think that looping in a program like Kansas State could raise their profile because of who they are now associated with… not so much hurt the other programs.
The Kansas schools not having wrestling for as long as they have makes zero sense to me. Especially with as much talent there is in them at state and the surrounding states. Both would be a threat pretty quick, imo.
