OSU falls to 9-1.
I’ll just repeat from the other thread.
We couldn’t guard anybody consistently, and we missed so many point blanks that we normally make. And I know OUs guys aren’t that quick, so why did we have such a hard time staying in front of them? After we took the lead in the second half, they started getting in the paint we ease and kicking out or giving it to their big guys.
Parsa being hurt certainly didn’t help matters. I hope this is a short term injury. He should stay out the remaining non conference if he’s not 100%.
I didn’t get to watch the whole game, but they did get rattled at one point and started jacking up shots with no ball movement.
Yeah, when the momentum shifted back to OU late in the 2nd half, I did sense some panic and bad shots followed.
Clary tried to put us on his shoulders, and Miller made a couple of big shots. But we just couldn’t stop a soul. ![]()
Lutz got out coached and no defense they couldn’t miss and Pokes couldn’t buy a bucket
Explain how he was out coached.
Yeah, this is a nonsensical take. Lutz is a hell of a coach. He’s got us playing at a level we haven’t seen in many years.
I will say that I feel we help off on defense way too much, leaving opponents with way too many wide open threes. I’ve seen it time and again. Our threes are highly contested, especially today, but ou was finding themselves with a lot of space. Been seeing it in past games too. I’m hoping the coaches start telling guys to stay on their man more.
But in general the coaching has been really good. As has happened before in games this season, Lutz made adjustments in the second half. I thought when Falla went out for good that we would be toast. But they found a way to be competitive down the stretch. Plus ou got pretty fortunate with their three point shooting.
Seems that is mediocre at this point, Time will tell
