This narrative that HCMG is sitting in his office telling the admin who to chose for non conf play is as stupid as stupid can get. I’m sure he gets to express an opinion but that is just about it. In any case most of the non conf picks, at least in the past, were mostly driven by financials. Anyone who thinks that is not the case needs to do some research before forming an opinion.

Are you saying Gundy didn’t threatened to quit over scheduling of non conference between 2012 and 2014? As far as financial, I read we got 3 million for playing Florida State in 2014. In 2015 we played Central Arkansas, Central Michigan, UTSA in 2016 we played Southeastern Louisiana, Central Michigan, Pitt in 2017 Tulsa, South Alabama, Pitt in 2018 Missouri State, South Alabama, Boise State in 2019 Oregon State, McNeece State, Tulsa. Has any of these paid us anything close to Florida State? Has any of these paid anything? What changed? Is there a possibility that Gundy’s fit throwing and threats is what caused the change?
Maybe you don’t think anything changed. Playing Georgia in 2009 Mississippi State in 2013 Florida State in 2014 are the exact same as Oregon State in 2019.

Can’t stay on topic, can you? I never said Art Briles had better morals than Gundy. I only said he was a better coach. It’s amazing to me how the guy has been gone for almost a decade and still has more Big 12 titles than Gundy .
Also, you were the one that stated “team of thugs”. I simply gave you the evidence and facts. Three players charged out of 85 doesn’t constitute a “team of thugs” based on the evidence and facts we have. Your assumptions don’t mean a dam thing in a court of law. It’s not what you know (which you don’t know anything), it’s what you can prove.
Even if the police and administrators were in on it. The judge is the overall authority on the case that makes the conviction. You never seem to acknowledge that Shawn Oakman’s accuser came out later on and said she made the grape charge up against him. Ruined his chances at a possible NFL career, and he served a probationary period where he was restricted from leaving Texas which never should’ve happened in the first place.
I don’t expect you to look that up though. Because, quite frankly, everyone else on here has to give you the evidence that you seem to be too incompetent looking up for yourself

He is the one that oversees the entire situation
If you do a little digging into what went on many women were paid off , supposedly, you don’t know as well as I don’t know. But if there was shady chit that went on why were the entire administration fired. Athletic director, Starr. , and if you looked instead of looking for just a positive fact for you many policemen were fired. That doesn’t happen because of 3 guys. There were a slew of happenings that were never reported
Briles was notorious about stealing signs and anything illegal chit to win. If not why has he basically been banned from coaching ? He was a complete thug
He was fired because he didn’t enforce the Student Code of Conduct. Meaning he didn’t report any of the assaults. Had nothing to do with the entire Baylor football program or roster. Had to do with the individuals that were accused and charged accordingly. He failed on those specific cases. This isn’t difficult to figure out.
You said the word “supposedly”. Even if they were paid off. They still could’ve reported it. So why not? You could go ahead and sue the school for negligence. You say there were a slew of happenings and yet you have no evidence that it even happened.
Except Texas who scheduled Notre Dame in '15 OU who scheduled Ohio State in '16 and '17 or TCU who scheduled Ohio State in '18 or Texas who scheduled LSU in '19 or Tulsa who scheduled Ohio State in '21 and Ole Miss in '22 Texas Tech who scheduled Oregon in '23.
Im not taking a side here, just chiming in on the art of scheduling. Everybody has a different model for scheduling. OU has typically gone the route of playing 1 “name” school, one average school, and one nobody. The big boys (FSU, Michigan, Ohio St, Tennessee, Bama, Nebraska, Oregon, Miami, UCLA) were all scheduled 5-10 years in advance. They were home and homes. Thats the general way those are done. You also will get the occasional “Preseason” type contest that is a neutral site scheduled a year or so in advance (OSU-FSU in Dallas)

How would you describe Central Michigan, Central UTSA. In 9 years we played a home and home with Pitt a single trip to Oregon State and a home and home with Arizona State. The other 4 years we didn’t play a Power 5.
According to Michael13 "everyone schedules easy games. Every dam one does it. " So were we scheduling just like OU over tĥat 9 year period.

As AR pointed out we’re one of the few programs that schedules a P4 opponent every year. The reason being is so Gundy can say “Well look how much we’ve won!!!” and convinces fools like yourself that we’re actually accomplishing something.
When the only thing we’ve accomplished in the last 14 years is a lucky NY6 bowl win against ND. In which they had players missing due to sitting out for the NFL draft. Still no CFP banners or Conference Title trophies to show for it. Even Dillingham did both of those his very first year in the conference.
