If that were true we would’ve seen more production. We didn’t because we weren’t set up in a four man front primarily. The 3-3-5 isn’t working, and if you put a truth serum in Gundy he would flat out tell you he’s not a fan of it right now. If that weren’t true he wouldn’t be trying to bring back Jim Knowles tactics.

. He improved the defense every single year he was here. He also didn’t finish 125th his first season at OSU. Like I said, put the truth serum in Gundy and he wants the 4-2-5 back.
Do you think he’s the whole defense ? He can only cover so many slots. Think a little before you throw out your nonsense. He wasn’t far off his year before numbers playing a new position. I like him blitzing from the LB position
I like the fact that he’s faster than a lineman and is closer to the line of scrimmage where he can close off any scrambling gaps for the QB quicker than he can from the LB position . He’s not going to plow down a 300 pound lineman to get to the QB. What we do know is that he’s quick enough to beat them around the edge. I’m sticking with what I said. If Gundy was completely honest he would want to go back to his 2021 defensive sets.
You really are just dumb. He doesn’t have to plow through a lineman , Kirkland and Clay will have them occupied. He will have a land for blitzing. Figure it out bill. He will play both positions

First gave up more yards and had a top 15 offense. He helped win 7 games which nardo lead us to a 10 title game. It took knowless 5 years for a title game

Why are we getting ran all over by two teams with a combined record of 13-13 then? Go read the article. It’s mentions Oliver being a four star. In fact, so does 247. Like I said, four stars don’t matter….until they do .
Nardo’s 125th ranked defense didn’t lead us anywhere. We were given the benefit of starting with one of the easier schedules in the new conference. You seem to forget that OG helped keep that defense off the field. Giving up 33, 45, 30, 34, 34 to the likes of South Bama, UCF, Houston, Iowa State, and BYU isn’t what I would classify as “leading”.
In fact, we gave up 30+ points eight times last season. That’s 62% of the time. So to say the second worst defense in the conference led us anywhere might be one of the dumbest statements I’ve ever heard. We made it there because we figured out that giving the ball to your best players was the right thing to do.
You didn’t even read the article did you Oliver wasn’t a 4 star on every recruiting circle. Read thd dam article

Nardos defense wasn’t great, gave up big plays but they make some key stops when we needed to. You don’t see it because you’re color blind And it isn’t orange you see. I say crimson and cream. Go to your own board with your bandwagon fans

In other words, they had a little bit of luck tagged along with that 125th ranking? Got it!!! My entire point was it wasn’t Nardo’s defense that “led” us to the conference title game. Anyone with a pair of eyes knows it was OG and Presley.
