That depends on your definition of success. There are several programs besides OSU that have won one conference title since 2011 and a couple of NY6 bowl games. Outside of a total win column. Tell me what makes us any different or better?
I didn’t ignore, and I’m glad we won it. Luckily for us ND’s two best players decided to sit that one out, and we were lucky enough to scrape by a win against a first game HC.
Did anyone notice that Colorado could win their second Big 12 Conference Title before OSU? Well thank goodness most OSU don’t care about ever winning the conference. Just make a bowl.

I’m not privy to the prior arguments amongst this particular group of posters, so forgive my ignorance. I admit my bias of being a big Gundy supporter (minus his way less-than-perfect statement on drinking and driving at the Big 12 days). I think Gundy has done amazing to build OkState football with the available talent and resources. I really appreciate repeated 10-win seasons an our bowl streak - even if some of the bowls are not as namebrand. Making a bowl is still important for extra team practices, player incentives, and for additional PR/branding. However, I think we have underperformed at critical times, which had led to the lack of conference titles. A couple of titles were due to ultra conservatively played Bedlam losses, but others were just due to coaches or players not showing up against a couple of inferior opponents in a season. The 2023 B12CG against Texas was just an old-fashioned arse whooping. In summary, I think it is okay to be proud of what OSU has accomplished while also simultaneously expecting we should have and need more conference titles. I hope this year is the year! Go Pokes!

We all want more CC @cowgirl4life but we only have bill aka Joe from another life he had in here that constantly downgrades the football team cause he doesn’t like Gundy That’s it , he hates Gundy and would like him fired to take a chance on another hire that if he’s successful does he jump at the next higher offer. We aren’t blessed with location and NIL money but he expects half the recruits to be 4 stars. I think Gundy has done a hell of a job considering where we were. One shared conference title in a hundred years

I’m more intrigued by which new Big 12 coach will win the conference before Gundy does again. So far it’s been Aranda, Klieman, and Sark. There always seems to be that one coach that brings his program out of nowhere to win the conference, and then we get to watch them celebrate in Arlington. The one thing we’ve always been good at though is being a champion of excuses.
What you’ve posted is exactly how I’ve felt for years. Unfortunately, we have some on here that will never hold anyone accountable for the lack of preparation or the straight up conservatism has always been an issue.
I’m not one of those that expects OSU to win a conference title every year. The reality is it’s been thirteen years and we’ve got other non-BB programs in the conference that have won it twice since then. We need to stop making excuses for everything.
No, I’m just asking you to hold him accountable when we he totally screws up. Which you never do at all. You blame the players before anyone else. The players aren’t in charge of the entire football program. Also, you just make excuses for every single time the coaching staff fails where they shouldn’t. That’s how total losers think.
